Officer - Procurement & Logistics

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Timely and duly prepare procurement plans for the office and projects and monitoring of their implementation
  • Prepare tender documents such as RFQ, ITB, or RFP and other instruments related to market research or market surveys such as RFI and EOI.
  • Prepare Pro-forma invoice and contract documents prior to submission for signature to the relevant Procurement Authority.
  • Receipt of bid documents, review of the same, contracts and/or purchase orders as well as results of the evaluation of bids/proposals and other formal/public documents.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Financial Regulations and Rules of ARCED and its Procurement Manual.
  • Prepare weekly requisition status reports providing the most updated information about the status of each requisition.
  • Monitor the progress of shipments for ARCED and its clients and coordinate the delivery of the same at the client’s delivery places.
  • Establish effective relations with the different project staff in a proactive manner.
  • Facilitate and follow-up timely clearance, delivery, and handover of goods and consignments.
  • Assists in organizing training for the operations/projects staff on Procurement.
  • Required skills and interests:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management/Business/Public Administration or related field.
  • Strong skill in MS office applications, especially Excel as well as equivalent google applications, such as google docs and google sheets.
  • Strong communication skills, both in English and Bangla.
  • Strong writing and presentation slide preparation abilities, as well as attention to detail, are necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Capability to work under pressure.
  • Supply Chain Management and/or other Procurement Practitioner Certification would be considered a significant asset.
