Project Introduction:The ARCED Foundation, University of California San Diego and the National University of Singapore have partnered to conduct a pilot study examining the impact of air purifiers on indoor air quality in households in Dhaka. The study aims to determine the air quality within homes in Dhaka and evaluate the effectiveness of air purifiers in improving it. By participating in the study, households can contribute to the expansion of scientific understanding and potentially improve the air quality in their own homes.

Project Introduction:ARCED Foundation with collaboration with University of California, San Diego (UCSD) and University of Colorado, Denver (UCD) aims to understand the effects of air pollution on worker productivity in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a rapidly growing megacity with poor livability due to high congestion costs, poor solid waste management, and increasing air pollution with a view to assessing the air quality and measuring worker productivity with the RCT intervention.

Effects of COVID-19 on older adults in Bangladesh

Project Introduction:As part of COVID-19 response, ARCED took the initiative to solely organize an impact study regarding the effect of COVID-19 on older adults in Bangladesh. During 2020, 1000 Bangladeshi older adults and 400 Rohingya older adults were surveyed digitally and physically. During 2021 another 1000 Bangladeshi older adults and 800 Rohingya older adults were surveyed. ARCED collaborated with a large number of academicians, policymakers and practitioners on this study and published many scientific papers in reputed journals.
