Merina Islam Mou works as a research assistant at the ARCED Foundation. She graduated (BSc and MS) from Govt. College of Applied Human Science (Home Economics Unit, University of Dhaka) major in Child Development and Social Relationship. She gained expertise in helping to develop research protocols and data collection tools for both quantitative and qualitative research during her four years of research-related work experience from various international NGO projects. She also developed her skills in creating questionnaires, translating, and methodically and scientifically preparing reports based on empirical data gathered from the field. She has technical experience with digital data gathering tools based on Kobo Toolbox, ODK Collect, and SurveyCTO as well as with data management and analysis using Python programming and the creation of data visualization dashboards using Power Bi. She continues to learn new techniques and skills, which have enhanced both the quantitative and qualitative facets of her analytical capacity. She has experience working on Child Protection, reducing child marriage, Child Health and Nutrition, SRH (Sexual & Reproductive Health) issues, menstrual hygiene of adolescent girls and women, Food & Nutrition for children and pregnant women, agriculture of several international projects of the monitoring, evaluation, and research department at Helen Keller International, World Vision Bangladesh, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, Feed the Future.
