He pursued his PhD in public health with a prestigious University International Postgraduate Award Scholarship from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Earlier, he did a Bachelor of Social Sciences (by research) and Master of Social Sciences in Sociology (by research) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, and earned first-class (fourth position in order of merit) and 3.80/4 out of 225 students, respectively. Currently, he is working as a researcher (FT) and sessional lecturer/academic at Western Sydney University and the University of New South Wales/Southern Cross Education Institute. Previously, he worked as a public health researcher at Save the Children International, Action Aid, the Kirby Institute of UNSW, and the NSW Ministry of Health, Australia. His research projects aim to improve vulnerable people’s physical/mental/sexual/reproductive health and quality of life.
