He has conducted groundbreaking experimental research on technology adoption barriers, including studies on air purifiers in Bangladeshi households and firms, flood early warning systems in India, and heat impacts on productivity. His work on women's leadership demonstrates how female leaders significantly improve environmental outcomes, particularly in reducing harmful agricultural practices like crop burning in India. With previous appointments at the University of Colorado Denver and as a postdoctoral fellow at Yale's Economic Growth Center, he has published in top-tier journals including The Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Review, and Journal of Public Economics. His research has been featured by major outlets including BBC News, World Bank blogs, and The New York Times, demonstrating his ability to translate academic findings into policy-relevant insights for addressing pressing development challenges in marginalized communities.
