Sheikh Rafi Ahmed

Sheikh Rafi Ahmed is a PhD student at the Department of Economics of the National University of Singapore. He is also the founder of Bangladesh-based polling platform Jonomot. Rafi completed his bachelor’s and master’s in economics from University of Dhaka. Then he joined ARCED Foundation as a Research Assistant in 2023 and worked on multiple field experiments until he left for his PhD. Rafi’s work with ARCED focuses on prioritizing environmental enforcement against most harmful sources of air pollution, especially brick kilns. He is also working on market failure and information asymmetry in the market for international migration.
