The B-SkillFUL Phase I project has been designed to support forty thousand disadvantaged and unskilled men and women by i) providing skill development training and ii) supporting the skilled graduates to create linkage with financial institutions.
ARCED offered a wide range of services. The services included extensive review of literature and document, in-depth interviews, collecting primary data using a pretested semi-structured graduate/beneficiaries questionnaire, and a tracer study report to the funder.
METHODOLOGY
- The study was a mixed- method study which primarily investigated the current status of the study participants and compared the current status of well-being with the baseline data that was collected by the B-SkillFUL project during trainee registration. Both quantitative and qualitative data collection activities were in place.
- The study started with a review of existing resources and information through secondary data analysis, which also helped to construct the detailed field plan and data collection tools. Secondary information and resources were sourced from project team and existing documents online. Pre-tested questionnaire was used for quantitative data collection, and semi-structured guidelines were used for qualitative data collection activities.
